Initial Consultation
The first step is for us to discuss your brief, make sure we have a shared understanding of your full requirements and I can prepare your quote.
To Secure your Booking
To secure a booking with me a deposit of 30% is required (via bank transfer). Your booking is not secure until this deposit has been received. Once your booking is secure, I will turn down any other offers of work thus meaning your deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable
Once you have paid your 30% deposit this means you are agreeing to go ahead with the quote as provided. The 30% is then taken off your total quoted price. You will be sent a confirmation message when your deposit is received.
The total balance is due no later than 1 week before the booking via bank transfer as final confirmation of your booking. Heather will not perform the agreed services until full payment has been received.
Timing
Heather will always work her hardest to complete your booking on schedule. Please note the timing per person is an estimate. Each hair and/or makeup look may take more or less time than planned, depending on the style chosen and the client’s skin or hair type.
It is important all clients are near the makeup station at the venue and are on-call throughout the hair and/or makeup service. Heather can not be held responsible if your desired completion time is not met due to client delays.
It is your responsibility to contact Heather if timings change on the day.
Please not that Heather may have more than one booking to attend, and time changes may not be possible.
Late Fee
There is a late fee of $20 if the client fails to arrive at their designated appointment time. If the client has not arrived 20 mins after their designated appointment time, Heather will leave and the appointment will be canceled. The deposit will not be refunded.
Travel
Heather is happy to travel, however depending on your location there may require a travel fee to cover time and milage costs.
For all bookings more than 20km from Britomart there will be a travel fee. Heather charges her milage fee at the IRD recommended rate of 73cents per kilometre. This is calculated as a round trip (there and back) from Britomart to your requested location. Where travel exceeds 30 minutes each way there may also be an added charge to cover the time.
If your booking requires multiple Artists, please note that the travel fee is calculated per Artist. Heather will always assign the minimum number of Artists required to achieve your requirements. Please note the available time frame for hair and make-up will impact on the number of Artists required as well, which we can discuss prior to the quote.
All bookings that have no free, secure parking available will be required to reimburse the parking costs.
Heather is more than happy to do out of town bookings however if she requires accommodation, this cost will be included along with your quote following our discussion.
Waiheke
All Waiheke bookings include a $150 travel fee, per artist required. This pays for inner city parking, ferry costs and travel time. Transport between the location and the ferry terminal on Waiheke, return trip, will need to be arranged and paid for by you.
Public Holidays
Public Holidays will incur a 15% surcharge.
Skin Sensitivities
You are obligated to report all allergies, skin conditions, or other ailments to Heather upon booking, or as soon as symptoms show (at least 48 hours before your appointment).
Should you bring your own product that you are familiar with, Heather would be happy to use that product for you.
Some conditions (eg Conjunctivitis) may cause the appointment to be cancelled due to hygiene reasons.
Heather can not be held liable for any allergic reactions that occur.
Photos
Heather has the right to share 'behind the scene shots' of you on her website and social media such as Instagram and Facebook including any professional photos the photographer shares. Please state if you would prefer nothing was shared. Any other images, we will always ask your permission to use.
Refunds
Heather does not offer refunds for any completed services or trials. Therefore, if you are in any way dissatisfied, it is up to you to discuss this on the service day.
Changes and Cancellations
Sometimes your plans do change, if you need to make a cancellation please let Heather know as soon as possible. Cancellations must be made in writing! Heather reserves the right to refuse any changes to a booking. However, she will endeavour to accommodate changes where practical.
All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Weddings
If a cancellation is made within 30 days of your wedding date, you agree to pay 50% of the remaining balance immediately to Heather.
If a cancellation is made within 7 days of your wedding date, Heather will be unable to provide any refund, and you are be liable for 100% of remaining balance.
Should one of your party not show up, there will be no discount and Heather will still provide the agreed hours.
Other Bookings
If a cancellation is made with less than 48hrs notice, Heather will be unable to provide any refund, and you are be liable for 100% of remaining balance.
Anyone who is booked in and does not show up, and/or not informed Heather of a cancellation will be liable for the full price of their missed appointment.
If for any reason Heather becomes unavailable/unable to do your booking she will notify you as soon as possible and recommend another equally amazing artist to take her place. If there is no one available to replace her then she will refund 100% of any fees paid. There will be no monetary compensation for change of artist.
